Ultimate Meusli

When I first had this muesli, I was at a bed and breakfast in Vermont last fall, and I was hooked. It's the perfect balance of mixed toasted nuts, oats, seeds and dried fruit, offering a contrast of flavors and a healthy delicious bowl of yumminess. You can add grated apple to make the traditional Bircher Muesli, here I added blackberries and that was perfect.

This recipe will make approximately 4 servings

Meusli

1 Cup Oats
1 oz chewy dried bananas (I used Trader Joe's)
1 oz dried sour cherries
1 - 2 oz toasted assorted raw unsalted nuts
1/4 Cup toasted organic unsweetened coconut flakes
1/4 Cup seed mix - sunflower, pumpkin, sesame (use what you like)
1 tablespoon Super Seed Ancient Grain blend (Trader Joe's)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
pinch of sea salt

Place all ingredients in a mixing bowl and stir together so that everything is easily distributed. To serve, add fresh fruit, yogurt, milk, nut milk and enjoy!
Variation: The night before, pour a serving into a glass jar and add desired milk or yogurt and place in the fridge to sit overnight or at least an hour and enjoy overnight oats!

Store the muesli in a tall glass jar with a lid.
